What works is different for each of us; these are a few sources I’ve found inspiring. Perhaps they’ll help you, too.
Five Good Minutes – 100 Morning Practices to Help You Stay Calm and Focused All Day Long – Jeffrey Brantley M.D., Wendy Millstine, Wendy-O Matik. There’s a whole series of Five Good Minutes books – I recommend them for those quick, inspirational moments of focus that we all need.
Mindfulness for Beginners: Reclaiming the Present Moment – and Your Life. Jon Kabat-Zin. If you’ve ever considered mindfulness meditation but didn’t think you could, this is worth a try. It comes with some guided meditations on CD.
The Happiness Project and Happier at Home – Gretchen Rubin. Full disclosure: I’m a fan. These books get a read-over from me every 12 – 18 months. For the quotes alone, they’re worth it. Check out Gretchen Rubin’s blog, as well.
Shambala Sun Magazine. I always find something right-on between these covers.
